John Mennona
April 18, 1929 — May 7, 2006
John Mennona, 77, died on Sunday May 7, 2006 at Stamford Hospital. Born in Stamford on April 18, 1929, he was the son of the late Patrick and Catherine Seymour Mennona.
He was employed with The Bounty Company of Stamford before becoming employed by Telesco Industries of Stamford as a mason, from where he retired. He was a member of the Local Teamsters Union.
He is survived by his three children, Pat Chicatell, Linda Senecal and Marian Stone all of Stamford; two sisters, Maryann Carson and Catherine Johnson of Stamford; three brothers, Arthur Mennona of Stamford, Alfred Mennona of Norwalk, and Joseph Mennona of Stamford; three grandchildren, Cindi Gioia, and Kristin and Blake Chicatell; and three great grandchildren, Tyler, Alyssa and Gavyn Gioia all of Stamford.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his loving wife, Marian Flynn Mennona; a sister, Judith Palmer; and two brothers, Anthony and James Mennona.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday May 11, 2006 at 1:00 PM at St. John RC Cemetery, 25 Camp Avenue, Darien, with the Rev. Richard Murphy officiating. There will be no calling hours.
