John J. Negyesi

John J. Negyesi, 89, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at his home in Stamford. Born May 26, 1917 in Stamford, he was the son of the late Joseph and Bertha Negyesi.
John was a Postal Station Manager at the US Post Office-Glenbrook Station in Stamford, for forty years, until his retirement in the early 70s. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served during WWII.
He is survived by his son, Richard J. and his wife Ada Negyesi of Stamford; a daughter, Nancy and her husband Jack Lombardi; and one granddaughter, Sophia Negyesi also of Stamford.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Veronica M. Negyesi.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Monday, April 9, 2007 from 5:00 8:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 9:20 AM and proceed to St. Gabriel Parish, 914 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Johns Cemetery in Darien.
