John Rosa,Sr.

John E. Rosa, Sr.,83, a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Stamford Hospital. He was born in Stamford on November 24, 1930 to the late John B. and Angelina LaMonica Rosa.
John was a former co-owner of R & R Convenience Store and The Club 14 Restaurant. One of his true passions was cooking his famous Italian recipes that were enjoyed by his family and friends. Most important in his life, was his love for his wife and son who meant the world to him.
John is survived by his loving wife of fifty two years of marriage, Marion V. Larkins Rosa, his loving son John E. Rosa, Jr., both of Stamford, his brother William Rosa of Seymour, CT and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, John was also predeceased by his brothers, Michal, Joseph, Paul and Nicholas Rosa and his sisters, Florence Candito, Rose (Dolly) Jones and Anita Rosa.
A funeral procession will be leaving The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Monday, March 24, 2014 10:20 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford. Interment will be private. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, March 23, 2014 from 2:00-6:00 PM.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Msgr. Peter Dora for his prayers and kindness and also to Dr. James Bivona, Dr. Thomas Nero and the Staff at Stamford Hospital for their care.
