Jose Rodriguez

Jose Rodriguez, 91, of Moncks Corner, SC and formerly of Stamford and Norwalk, CT passed away on Friday, October 11, 2013 after a brief illness. He was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on May 20, 1922.
He was a World War II veteran and a retired employee of Clairol. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus of Stamford.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-laws, Freddie and Georgeanna Rodriguez of Moncks Corner, SC and Joseph and Lynn Rodriguez of Stamford, a brother, Guillermo Rodriguez, a sister, Josefina Martinez, seven grandchildren; Dawn Hart, Fred Rodriguez(April), Toni Fecteau(Kenny), Steven Rodriguez, Michelle Sturner (Jared), Amy Smith (Patrick) and Peter Rodriguez, as well as eleven great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Yolanda Irizarry Rodriguez and six siblings.
Family and friends may call at The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 on Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 10:15 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park, Oaklawn Avenue, Stamford.
