Joseph J. Capalbo

Joseph J. Capalbo, 78, died on Wednesday May 3, 2006 at Greenwich Hospital of natural causes, surrounded by his family. He was born on October 19, 1927 in Greenwich to the late Rocco and Carmela Nania Capalbo.
He was a lifelong resident of Greenwich. He was a born salesman and spent his career in the plastics industry. He retired in 1994 as the Executive V.P. Director of Marketing for Tucker Housewares. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church and the St. Lawrence Club of Cos Cob.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Electra Maranelli Capalbo; three daughters, Electra Joy Capalbo and her husband Markku Maunula; Jill Capalbo; Joan Capalbo and her husband Peter Knudsen; a son, Joseph J. Capalbo II and his wife Pat; and four grandchildren, Joseph, Cali, and Tommy Capalbo, and Kortney Knudsen. He is also survived by his brother, Frank �"Red Capalbo.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by two brothers, Peter and Rocco Capalbo; five sisters, Rose Capalbo Caporizzo, Helen Capalbo Della Corte, Comfort Capalbo Bzan, Minnie Capalbo Maranelli and Marie Capalbo DElia.
He loved and enjoyed his family and will be missed by all.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena, 4 Riverside Avenue, Riverside, CT, on Saturday May 6, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Mary RC Cemetery on North Street in Greenwich. Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT on Friday May 5, 2006 from 4:00 8:00 PM.
