Joseph F. Debattista

Joseph F. DeBattista, 89, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Richard Rosenthal Hospice Residence. Born May 20, 1919 in Paula, Malta, he was the son of the late Carmelo and Carmela Scieluna DeBattista.
Joseph was self employed mason and he enjoyed gardening. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in WWII.
He is survived by his son, Charles J. DeBattista and his wife Lauren of Stamford; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Mary C. DeBattista in October 2008; and his daughter, Dolores Borg.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 14 at 10:00 AM at St. Gabriel RC Church, 914 Newfield Avenue, Stamford for the late Joseph and Mary DeBattista. Interment will be private. There will be no calling hours.
