Joseph Labbadia, Sr.

Joseph Labbadia, Sr. 77, a lifelong resident of Stamford, passed away peacefully at his home on April 27th, 2012. Born May 2nd, 1934 to the late Pasquale and Angelina DeFilippo Labbadia, Sr.
Joe attended Stamford Schools and was an Army Veteran. He was an avid golfer frequenting Hubbard Heights/ E. Gaynor Brennan Golf Course. The ultimate jokester and quintessential salesman, Joe would light up any room he entered.
He is survived by his loving wife Dolores Ross Labbadia, and their three children. Michelle DeMasi of Wells, ME, Lynn Kirby and her husband Brett of Milford, and son Joseph Labbadia, Jr. of Stamford, grandchildren Salvatore Joseph Jr. and Jillian DeMasi, Sydney, Alexis, and Melanie Kirby, and great grandchildren Dominic and Rosalie DeMasi. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Besides his parents Joe was predeceased by his brothers Pat and Slim Labbadia.
A funeral Procession will be leaving the Nicholas. F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, on Tuesday, May 1st, 2012 at 10:20AM to Celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bridget of Ireland, R.C. Church at 11:00AM and will proceed to Woodland Cemetery, Woodland Place, Stamford for interment. Friends and Family may call at the funeral home on Monday, April 30th, 2012 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM
