Joseph T. “Beaver” Loglisci, 51 of the Bronx, New York, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2010 at home. Born on June 15, 1959 in Coral Gables, Florida, he was the son of Gayle H. Hand of Fairfield and Joseph N. Loglisci of Stamford. He was the husband of Sandra J. Loglisci and father of Hannah H. Loglisci, both of the Bronx, New York.
Joseph worked as a stagehand for 22 years at several Broadway Theatres until retiring in 2000 and was a member of the I.A.T.S.E. Local #1 Theatrical Union of New York City and of the Timber Framers Guild.
In addition to his wife, daughter, mother and father, Joseph is survived by his stepmother, Margaret Loglisci of Stamford; two brothers, Robert and Michael Loglisci, both of Stamford; three step sisters, Lynne Morelli, Debra Young and her husband Paul of Stamford and Jodi Hoff and her husband David, all of Stamford. Also surviving are several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 on Sunday, August 15, 2010 from 2:00-6:00PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home on Monday, August 16, 2010 at 9:10AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00AM at St. Maurice RC Church, 358 Glenbrook Road, Stamford, CT 06906. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park, Stamford, CT.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Joseph’s name to the Actor’s Fund, 729 7th Avenue, 10th Floor, New York, NY 10019.
