Joseph �"Pepper P. Tomczyk, Sr., 72, passed away suddenly at Stamford Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Monday, August 13, 2007. Born March 17, 1935 in Stamford, he was the son of the late Joseph and Carmella �"Mollie Faillaci Tomczyk.
�"Pep was a restaurant manager, and a graduate of Stamford High School Class of 1953. He was also a Veteran of the US Army having served in the Korean War. He had a profound love and devotion for his family and especially for watching his grandson play baseball.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Lucille Loglisci Tomczyk of Stamford; two sons, Joseph Tomczyk, Jr.; and Mark Tomczyk both of Stamford; two daughters, Debbie Pandone and her husband John of Stamford; and Mary-Jo Amato and her husband Jeff of Darien. Five grandchildren, Nichole Tomczyk, Anthony and Tori Pandone, and Jeffrey and Michael Amato; one great-granddaughter, Jordan Tomczyk; and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 from 4:00 8:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Thursday, August 16, 2007 and proceed to Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow.
