Josephine Costanzo
March 24, 1922 — January 18, 2013
Josephine Anne Costanzo, 90, passed away peacefully on January 18th, 2013 at the Bridgeview Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. Born in New Canaan, CT on March 24th, 1922 she was the daughter of the late Antonio Dascenzo and the stepdaughter of Lucia DePalma Dascenzo.
Josephine was a loving mother and friend to many. She resided in Stamford and moved to Florida in 2002, shortly after her loving husband of 52 years passed away.
Josephine resided at Ormond In The Pines, where she enjoyed her many friends, music, and playing in the Kitchen Band, and especially going on local joints. She was recognized as Volunteer of the Year in 2003.
Josephine is survived by her two sons, Joseph L. Costanzo, Jr. of Ormond Beach, FL., formerly of Stamford and Donald Costanzo of Chonburi, Thailand, and a daughter,Linda K. Guy of Aptos, CA., and her sister Carmella Palumberi of Darien, CT. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph L. Costanzo, Sr., and her siblings; Dominick “Skeeter” and Michael (DePalma) Dascenzo, Anthony(Perrotta),Carlo, James, John, Michael, Nick, Orlando, Pat and Caroline Dascenzo, Lucy Rossi and Rose LoCicero.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at the Church of Saint Cecilia, 1184 Newfield Ave., Stamford, CT. There will be no calling hours and Interment will be private.
