Joyce Bova

Joyce Marie Bova, 77, a longtime resident of Stamford, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, with her loving family by her side. Joyce was born in Canada on May 2, 1947, daughter of Eric and Alice Randall Despres.
Joyce is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Frederick Bova of Stamford, their sons, Anthony Bova of Stamford and Michael and his wife Barbara Bova of Cheshire. Her father, Eric Despres of Canada, her brothers, Barry, Jerry, Logan, Lloyd Despres, Norman and his wife Deanne and a sister, Elva Brunch. Joyce is also survived by her cherished grandson, Benedict Bova, along with many nieces and nephews.
Joyce was predeceased by her mother, Alice Beatrice Randall.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT, on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 3PM to 7PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at St. Bridget of Ireland Church, Stamford, at 10:00AM. Interment will be privately held.
