Judith Calorossi

Judith Calorossi, 79, a lifelong resident of Stamford, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, August 9, 2009. Born on May 3, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Carmella Napolitano Maiorano.
She centered her world around her family. Her love was endless and she will be missed dearly.
Judith is survived by her eight children, Michael Calorossi & his wife Judy of Danbury; James Calorossi & his wife Barbara of Norwalk; Joseph Calorossi of Stamford; John Calorossi & his wife Diane of Stamford; Richard Calorossi of Stamford; Diane J. Calorossi of Stamford; Judith “Judy Ann” Barry & her husband John of Norwalk; and Carol Ciuffo & her husband Anthony of Stamford. Eighteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Michael Calorossi.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Thursday, August 13 from 5:00 �" 8:00 PM.
A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home on Friday, August 14 at 9:45 AM and proceed to Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at St. John’s RC Cemetery, Darien.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Judith to a charity of one’s choice. Condolences may be expressed online at www.cognetta.com.
