Judith Pensiero
November 25, 1930 — August 29, 2011
Judith Frances Currivan Pensiero, 80, a long time Stamford resident, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 29, 2011 at The Richard L. Rosenthal Hospice Residence surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 25, 1930, Judith was the daughter of the late Maurice and Edna Morgan Currivan.
Judith graduated from Sacred Heart Academy and The Merrill Business School. She is a retired employee of Union Trust Company where she worked in Customer Service for over 20 years. Judith was an avid volunteer with VNA and Hospice for 27 years and Stamford Health Systems for 10 years. She was also an active member of the “Crane Road Croanies”. She enjoyed traveling and had great love for her family and grandchildren.
Judith is survived by her loving husband, Leonard , two daughters and son-in-law, Susan and Keith Murphy of Simsbury, CT and Lora Pensiero of Ridgefield, CT, two grandchildren, Devon Rose and Conor John “CJ” Murphy, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ralph and Barbara Pensiero of Stamford, and several loving nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Judith was pre-deceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Maureen and Frank Marino and their oldest son, Kenneth Marino.
A Funeral Procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 on Friday, September 2, 2011 at 9:35 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Cecilia Church, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, CT. Interment will follow at St. John’s R.C. Cemetery, Darien, CT. Family and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Thursday, September 1, 2011 from 4:00-8:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Judith’s name to the Richard L. Rosenthal Hospice Residence, 100 Shelburne Rd. Stamford, CT 06904.
