Julia Lea Wasicki, 81, formerly of Stamford and a resident of Barefoot Bay, Florida passed away in Florida on Wednesday March 7, 2006.
Born in Stamford October 5, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Vita Perniciaro DeSalvo.
Mrs. Wasicki, along with her late husband Roman Wasicki Sr., was the owner and operator of the former Julias Market located on Newfield Avenue in Stamford.
Survivors include her son Roman Wasicki Jr. SPD of Stamford, two sisters Ann M. Gasper of Barefoot Bay, Florida and Jennie Orrico of Soutbury, CT and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband she was predeceased by her son James Wasicki and two sisters Virginia Sabia and Josephine DeSalvo.
A Funeral Procession will leave the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, on Thursday March 16, 2006 at 10:20 AM and proceed to St. Bridget of Ireland RC Church, 278 Strawberry Hill Ave., Stamford, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. John RC Cemetery, Darien, CT.
