June O’Connor Frangione, 51 of New Canaan, died at Waveny Care Center on Thursday, June 24, 2010 after a long illness. Born on August 2, 1958 in Windsor, CT, she was the daughter of the late John and Muriel O’Connor.
June graduated high school in Windsor and then attended the University of Connecticut where she received a Masters in Business. During her professional career she was a Vice President at Citibank and most recently, a Vice President at Stamford Mortgage Company. June volunteered often in the community and was loved by many. She and her daughters were active members of the St. Aloysius Church in New Canaan for many years.
June is survived by her daughters, Ashley June Frangione and Meghan Rose Frangione, both of New Canaan; her sister, Jane Molway of Johannesburg, Illinois; and her brother John O’Connor of Enfield, CT. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, June was predeceased by her husband, Roy Anthony Frangione.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 on Monday, June 28, 2010 at 9:00AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 at St. Aloysius RC Church, 40 Maple Street, New Canaan, CT 06840. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, South Main Street, New Canaan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, June 27, 2010 from 2:00-6:00PM.
