Kathleen O. Chin, 85, of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, May 05, 2015 at Stamford Hospital. She was born in New York City on April 7, 1930 to the late Robert and Thelma R. Rose Johnston.
Kathleen was employed as a Desk Clerk and Aide at the United Hospital in Port Chester, NY for eight years, and was a member of the Union Baptist Church of Stamford for many years.
She is survived by her loving daughters Lise Leist and her husband Jeff of Pound Ridge, NY, Ling Noonan of Watertown, CT and her loving grandchildren Zachary and Anya Leist and Adlai, Ariel and Sheminith Noonan.
Aside from her parents, Kathleen was predeceased by her sister Renee Johnston and her grandson Gebrah Noonan.
A funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Union Baptist Church, 805 Newfield Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery, Rye, NY. Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Kathleen’s memory to The Stamford Hospital, 30 Shelburne Road, Stamford, CT 06902.
