Kathleen Murphy

Kathleen Murphy, 92, of Stamford passed away peacefully on Monday, December 9, 2013. She was born on March 28, 1921 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Philip and Margaret Carey Murphy.
She spent most of her life in Greenwich, CT, where she worked for the Greenwich Federal Savings Bank for many years. Kathleen was a woman of great faith and loved spending time with her family, her friends, and reflecting in prayer.
The oldest of nine children, Kathleen is predeceased by her siblings, Mary Murphy, Peggy McGlynn, Esther Burns, Patricia Smith,Danny,Dennis and Philip Murphy and Josephine Savona. Kathleen will be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Interment will be held privately at St. Mary’s RC Cemetery, Greenwich, CT. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Bridget of Ireland RC Church, 278 Strawberry Hill Avenue, Stamford on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 10:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kathleen’s memory to the Alzheimer ‘s Association, 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067
