Kathleen Riley

Kathleen Riley passed away peacefully at Stamford Hospital on the afternoon of Sunday, January 10, 2021. A lifelong resident of Stamford, Kathleen was born on March 14, 1934 and was one of three children born to the late William and Margaret (McFarland) Donohue. She was 86 years old at the time of her passing.
Kathleen was a homemaker, a loving grandmother and a loving caregiver of children. She had a gift of making all of the children in her care comfortable and to feel right at home. In her later years, one of her biggest joys was having her granddaughter, Nikki, and Brennan McGrath take her out to lunch and spend the day together.
Kathleen is survived by her son, Kevin Riley and family, her beloved granddaughter Nikki Riley, Nikki's mother Sharon Flynn and her sister Mary Selke. In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband James Riley, her son Gary and a brother, John Donohue.
The family would like to offer special thanks to: EZ Care Staffing, Vitas Hospice and the caring staff Stamford Hospital for the compassionate care provided to Kathleen over the past few years.
