Kevin John Ryan

Kevin John Ryan, age 63, died on Monday, April 16, 2007 at the Richard L. Rosenthal Hospice in Stamford. He was born in Stamford on July 28, 1943, son of the late Judge Peter J. Ryan and Llewellyn Bernhard Ryan.
Kevin attended St. Mary Parochial School and was a graduate of Stamford High School, Class of 1962. He was a member of the National Guard and served his enlistment in the US Army at the DMZ in Korea.
Kevin recently retired from the US Postal Service (Wilton Post Office). He was an enthusiastic golfer, immensely, but modestly, proud of having made two holes-in-one in his long golfing career. A life-long member of St. Mary Parish, he was for many years an usher at Sunday mornings nine oclock Mass.
Kevin is survived by three brothers, Peter M., Hugh C., and David L. (and his wife Kathleen) Ryan; and three sisters, Robin (and her husband Russ) Bughman; Sally Sweeney; and Shelagh Ryan. Also surviving their uncle are two nieces and eleven nephews.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, from 5:00 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 19, 2007. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary RC Church, 566 Elm Street, at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 20, 2007. Interment will be private.
