Larissa D. Beck, 77, a lifelong resident of Stamford, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving
family on Monday March 28, 2016 in Rockledge, FL. Larissa was born in Stamford on October 28, 1938
to the late Walter Daly and Adele Melnyk Rodney.
Larissa was a former employee of the Southern New England Telephone company, having worked there
for many years, prior to her retirement.
Larissa is survived by her son Walter Beck, Jr. of Stamford, her three daughters, Larissa Oprysk of Port St.
Lucie, FL, Sandra Lemekha and her husband (Walter) Vlodko of Stamford and Lydia Beck of
Stamford as well as her grandchildren, Larissa M. Oprysk, Nicholas and Alexandra Lemekha.
Besides her parents, Larissa is predeceased by her husband Walter Beck, Sr. and her son-in-law Stanley Oprysk.
A funeral procession will leave the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT on Monday April 4, 2016 at 9:15AM and proceed to St. Mary’s Holy Assumption Church, 141 Den Road, Stamford, CT for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00AM. Entombment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery Mausoleum, Darien. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 2:00 to 8:00PM with a Parastas at 5:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Larissa’s name to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Drive, Wallingford, CT 06492.
