Leonora Martorelli
September 13, 1928 — September 29, 2006
Leonora T. Martorelli, 78, of Stamford and East Falmouth, Mass., passed away on Friday, September 29, 2006 at Stamford Hospital. Born on September 13, 1928 in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Lucy Colucci Bivona.
Leonora was employed at Lord & Taylor as a seamstress for twenty four years. She was also a member of AARP and St. Gabriel Senior Club.
She is survived by two daughters, Debra Ann Doorack and her husband Rob, of Gilford; and Lisa J. Cody and her husband Bob of Stamford; and four grandchildren, Luci Mei Doorack, Katelyn Ann Cody, Claire Jing Cody, and Annabelle Lin Doorack.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ralph S. Martorelli; a son, Robert Charles Martorelli; and a brother, Anthony Bivona.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, at 9:20 AM on Tuesday, October 3, 2006 and proceed to St. Gabriels Parish, 914 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Interment will then follow at St. Johns Cemetery, Darien. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, October 2, 2006 from 5:00 8:00 PM.
