Lewis Belmont

LEWIS J. BELMONT, 92, a former resident of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family,on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at home in Naples,FL.Born in Stamford on May 2, 1920 to the late Gus and Carrie Herman Belmont. He enlisted into the Merchant Marines during WWII as an electrician mate. After the war he went to work for his father at Belmont Electric in Stamford for the next 40 Years. Lewis was an avid golfer and traveled the world with his wife Amelia. Lewis is survived by his son Lewis A. Belmont, daughter in-law Deborah Lopez and three grandchildren Steven Belmont, Michael Belmont and Lauren Belmont.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife Amelia Andrea Belmont.

A graveside service will be held at St. John’s Cemetery Darien on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at
1:00 PM. Officiating will be the Rev. James Grosso. The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 is honored to assist the Belmont family with the arrangements.
