Linda A. Mancinelli
June 10, 1947 — January 1, 2009
Linda A. Mancinelli, 61, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, on January 1, 2009 at Stamford Hospital. Born June 10, 1947, in Bronx, New York, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Lena Valentino Oddo.
A graduate of St. Phillip Neri High School, Linda went on to graduate from St. Helenas Business School in New York. Linda worked as a receptionist for Sunrise Assisted Living for more than five years. Her greatest love and passion was spending time with her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by a daughter, Lisa A. Vetti and her husband Bruce; two grandchildren, Daniel Paul and Bennett Manuel; a nephew, Robert Musitano and his wife Kristine; and a niece, Michelle Bowron and her husband Robert all of Stamford.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Lorraine Musitano; and her niece, Kim Musitano.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Wednesday, January 7 from 4:00 7:00 PM with a prayer service being held at 6:00 PM with Msgr. Frank McGrath officiating. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made to the Carl & Dorothy Bennett Cancer Center, 34 Shelburne Road, Stamford, CT 06904 or the American Red Cross, 112 Prospect Street, Stamford, CT 06905.
