Linda L. May of Old Greenwich, CT passed away on September 3, 2006. Born in Winchester, Massachusetts on September 11, 1946, she was the daughter of the late James Wilson Lorne and Marjorie Ruth Symes Lorne. Living in Greenwich since 1954, she graduated from Greenwich High School in 1963 and Smith College in 1968. She held a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Toronto.
Linda joined the Greenwich Public School System in 1968 as an elementary school teacher, a position she would hold for thirty five years until her retirement in 2003. Thirty four of those years were spent teaching at Cos Cob School in Cos Cob, CT.
She loved life, family, retirement, and her beloved Boston Red Sox. Most of all she loved to learn about the successes and achievements of her former students.
Linda is survived and fondly remembered by her husband of thirty one years, Robert T. May and loving daughter, Melinda L. May of Old Greenwich, CT.
A memorial service in her honor will be held on Saturday September 16, 2006 at 11:30 AM at the First Congregational Church of Greenwich located on Sound Beach Avenue in Old Greenwich, CT.
