Lisa Ann Janniello, a longtime resident of Stamford, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at the age of 71. Lisa was born in Philadelphia, PA, on September 20, 1955, to the late Vincent and Kathleen DeMarco.
Lisa will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her loving heart, and the joy she brought to everyone she met. A devout Catholic, she loved Jesus and found comfort and strength in prayer. Her faith was an important part of her life and brought her peace, especially after her diagnosis of early onset dementia.
Before starting a family, Lisa was an avid student with a love of learning. She earned her undergraduate degree from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, spending her junior year studying at the Sorbonne in Paris. She later pursued a PhD in Philosophy at Georgetown University.
Above all else, she loved her three daughters more than anything in the world. Being their mother was her greatest joy. Lisa was an active and devoted part of their lives, always involved in their school and extracurricular activities. She was eager to support them and always encouraged them to follow their passions.
A talented seamstress, Lisa shared her creativity through the many costumes she lovingly made for their dance recitals and Halloween celebrations. She was even known for the homemade matching outfits she sewed the girls for Easter and Christmas. Her smile, creativity, and endless love will never be forgotten.
Lisa is survived by her three loving daughters, Lauren Trinca and her husband Zachary of Stamford, CT, Lizzie Saltsman and her husband Easton of Lakewood, OH, and Nicole Shanahan and her husband Adam of Southport, CT. She is also survived by her former spouse Frank Janniello of Stamford, CT and her brothers Vincent DeMarco of Fairfield, CT and Joseph DeMarco of Baltimore, MD. Lisa is also survived by her three cherished grandsons, Crew, Cal, and Rousseau. Aside from her parents, Lisa was predeceased by grandsons Jackson and Macallan.
