Somewhere up in heaven right now there is a guy with a beautiful smile and a twinkle in his eye teeing up for a round of golf with old friends and family. Our family and friends here on earth lost a very good soul who left our presence much too soon on January 27, 2015, at age 64. He will forever be remembered as "Lou", a proud and loving father, a gentle and kind human being, and a passionate golfer. Lou loved music, books, history, and political debates. He was a compassionate man who worked for those with special needs at Mansfield Training School, for the underserved at St. Luke’s Gilead House, in the Stamford Hospital Radiology Dept. and most recently as a Golf Ranger at Sterling Farms.

Lou was a man of integrity and kindness, who lived life his way and did what he loved, always treating others with respect. He will be forever remembered for his contagious smile, truly kind manner, and his passion for golf. Anyone who knew him understood that if you couldn't find Lou, he was probably on the golf course, often until the snow fell.

He is survived by his daughter Dr. Adriane Argenio, mother Eileen Argenio, two sisters June and Carole, and nieces and nephews. Services were privately held. In Lieu of flowers please make a donation to the “Stamford Golf Authority” for the Lou Argenio Scholarship Fund for Junior golf scholars at Sterling Farms, 1349 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, CT 06905. Please join us in a celebration of Lou’s life this Saturday January 31st at Zody’s at Sterling Farms golf course from 12-3p, 1349 Newfield Avenue.
