Louis Michael Cerreta, 48, of Monroe, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2009. Born in Stamford on October 1, 1960, he was the son of Louis H. Cerreta and the late Filomena “Mamie” Annetta Cerreta.
Louis was a self-employed CPA. He was a member of the Connecticut Society of CPA’s, and the Connecticut Game Club, where he was the Treasurer. He was a former member of the Richmond Hill Park Republican Club. Louis graduated from Holy Name Grammar School, Stamford Catholic High School and the University of Bridgeport.
Louis is survived by his wife, Rosemarie Presutto Cerreta; his father Louis H. & his wife Ruth Cerreta of Baltimore, MD; a sister, Catherine Mary & her husband Jeffrey Tynes of Stamford; an Aunt Pamela Sudo of Greenwich; three nephews Michael F. Tynes, Richard Maguire and R.J. Kijek; two nieces, Kimberly Maguire and Tara Kijek. Many extended family members also survive.

A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home on Friday, August 28 at 9:20 AM and proceed to St. John the Evangelist RC Church, 279 Atlantic Street, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Stamford.
