Louis P. DeSiato, Jr., 59, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2007 at Stamford Hospital. Born May 23, 1947 in Stamford, he was the son of the Yolanda Caccavello DeSiato and the late Louis P. DeSiato, Sr.
Louis was a Plumber/Pipefitter with the Union local #777 for forty years, and was with Richards Conditioning Corporation for the last five years. Louie enjoyed golfing with Good Times Golf League, bowling, and singing with Sharkey and the unknowns.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-six years, Carol Battinelli DeSiato; two sons, Louis DeSiato, III and his wife Dana of Moscow, PA; and Christopher DeSiato of Stamford; a sister, Roseann DeSiato Tassitano and her husband Frank; a brother-in-law, Carl A. Battinelli, Jr. and his wife Sue; and his mother-in-law, Helen Rekos Battinelli all of Stamford. A granddaughter, Lexi Ann DeSiato of Moscow, PA; three nephews and two nieces, Frank Tassitano, Jr.; Kara Battinelli; Katelyn Battinelli; Carl Battinelli III; and Paul Battinelli also survive.
Besides his father, he was predeceased by a brother, Dominic DeSiato; and his father-in-law, Carl A. Battinelli, Sr.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 from 4:00 8:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 9:10 AM on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 and proceed to St. Leo Parish, 24 Roxbury Road, Stamford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery.
