Louise H. Osker passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, January 26, 2018. She was born on October 5, 1934 in Stamford to the late Patrick and Josephine O’Grady Hussey. As a youth, Louise was the captain of the women’s basketball team and an alumni of Sacred Heart Academy.
She was the matriarch of the Hussey and Osker families, always there to listen and lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on. Louise was a historian, a great storyteller and always loved to make people laugh. She had the best sense of humor and a great love for life. She was passionate about her Irish Heritage and Family Roots. Her home was always open to family and friends where all were welcome with her beautiful smile and an open heart.
She is survived by her son Robert Osker and his wife Andrea of Stamford; daughter Suzanne Lord and her husband Richard Cretarola of Newport, Rhode Island; son Jeffrey Camp and his wife Sandra of Peoria, Illinois; Grandson Jordan Lord of Warwick, Rhode Island; sister Eileen MacCaughern of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Besides her parents she is preceded by her beloved husband Frank J. Osker of which they were happily married for 55 years. She was also predeceased by her sister May Eads and brother Michael Hussey.

Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue Stamford on Thursday February 1, 2018 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM, with a service to be held at 7:30PM, with Rev. Robert Post officiating.
