Lucille M. Koda

Lucille M. Koda, 88, a Stamford resident, passed away at her home in the comfort of her family on February 11, 2009. Born February 13, 1920 in Potenza, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Rose Depaoli Cappiello.
Lucille was a devoted Catholic and loving and caring wife and mother. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Edward S. Koda; three children, Linda Esposito and her husband Rick; Michael S. Koda; and Sandi M. Docimo all of Stamford. Three sisters, Jenny Tarentino, Mary Price and Betty Ann Grecco; two brothers, Louis and Vincent Cappiello; seven grandchildren and her dog, Cha Cha, also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by oldest son, Gary S. Koda; a sister, Carmella Renda; and a brother, Anthony Cappiello.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Friday, February 13, from 9:00 10:15 AM. A funeral procession will then leave the funeral home and proceed to Church of St. Cecilia, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow at St. John Cemetery Mausoleum in Darien.
