Luis E. Rios, 53, of Stamford passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, August 17, 2014. He was born in Colombia to Alicia Martinez Rios and the late Luis F. Rios.
Luis was a resident of Stamford for over 40 years and employed at Clairol as a compounder for twenty eight years. He was a devoted husband, loving father, son, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his loving wife Debra DeSouza Rios of Stamford, his mother Alicia Rios of Stamford, his son, Luis A. Rios of NJ, two sisters, Rocio Soto and her husband Ismael and Mayra Rios, brother Jose Rios all of Stamford, a niece Cristina A. Rios of FL and his canine companion Ginger “GG”.
A funeral procession will be leaving The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford at 11:40 AM on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12:00 PM at St. Benedict’s RC Church, 1 St. Benedict Circle, Stamford. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Woodland Place, Stamford. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 from 9:30-11:30 AM prior to Mass.
