Lydia M. Sclafani Morin passed away quietly in her sleep. She was 96. A lifelong resident of Stamford, she was born November 2, 1910 to the late Fara Maltese and Frank Sclafani. She worked for over forty years as a dressmaker.
She is survived by a daughter, Marie E. Vaccaroand her husband Carmine J. Vaccaro of Stamford; a son, George H. Morin, Jr. and his wife Dorene Morin of Sedona, AZ; a brother, Lucien Sclafani of Stamford; and three sisters, Frances Ginise of Milford; Juliet Sclafani of Milford; and Rita Young of Barefoot Bay, FL. Eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, George H. Morin; two brothers, Peter and Charles Sclafani; and four sisters, Augusta Sclafani; Rose Maaz; Nellie Morin; and Margaret Rotelli.
