Margaret Yolanda Brondo, 87, a lifelong resident of Stamford, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 6, 2015. Margaret was born in Stamford on December 11, 1927 to the late Sinibaldo and Alice Coppola.
Margaret was a member of Sacred Heart RC Church, the Knights of Columbus Columbiettes, The National Council for Senior Citizens, St. Mary’s Senior Group and she also volunteered her time at Smith House Care Center.
Margaret is survived by her daughters; Jacquelyn Miller and her husband Robert of East Coventry, PA and Deborah Puppo and her husband Anthony of New Milford, CT. Her brother Alfred Coppola of Norwalk, sister Alice Carella of Stamford, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive. Margaret is also survived by her “boyfriend” for over fifteen years, Carmine D’Agostino of Stamford, CT.
Besides her parents, Margaret is predeceased by her loving husband George R. Brondo, her five brothers; Joseph Coppola, Ralph Coppola, Mario Coppola, Anthony Coppola and Rocco Coppola as well as two sisters; Philomena Tarascio and Nancy Considine.
A Memorial Mass will be held in Margaret’s Honor on her birthday, Friday December 11, 2015, at 10:30AM at Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. There will be no calling hours and interment will be private. The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to assist the family with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook Street, I-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
