Marguerite E. OConnor, 64, a lifelong resident of Stamford, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at Griffin Hospital. Born in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Jennie Russo Carlucci, and daughter-in-law of the late John and Sabina OConnor.
Marguerite was the Vice President of Stamford Electric, Inc. She was supervisor of the patent department for American Cyanamid for 27 years. She had a great sense of humor and a flair for designing. She also had an enormous wealth of friends and family.
She is survived by her husband, John M. OConnor; a son, Dr. John J. OConnor, his wife Marylynn and grandchildren Jack and Michael. Six brothers, Leonard Carlucci and his wife Leslie; Frank Carlucci and his wife Nancy; Peter Carlucci and his wife Michele; James Carlucci and his wife Margaret; Dominick Carlucci and his wife Rose; and Ronald Carlucci and his wife Patty; five sisters, Carmela Ferraro and her husband John; Deborah Ballard; Dawn Carlucci; Anna Liik and her husband John; and Jean Talamelli and her husband Richard; and three sisters-in-law, Gail Cowley and her husband James; Arlene Finali; and Lynn Mones and her husband Wayne and eighteen nephews and thirteen nieces also survive.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Friday, October 17 from 4:00 8:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 8:20 AM on Saturday, October 18 and proceed to Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 AM with the Most Reverend William E. Lori officiating and concelebrated by Rev. Richard Futie. Interment will follow at St. Johns Cemetery in Darien.
