Maria Imbrogno

Maria Docimo Imbrogno, 84, of Stamford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at home surrounded by her loving family. Maria was born in Rosé, Italy on September 15, 1932, to the late Secondo and Annunziata Paese Docimo.
Maria came to the United States in 1952; She was deeply dedicated to her husband Enrico and family. It brought her much joy to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid gardener, she loved crocheting and cooking for her family. Maria was a very giving and generous woman. She was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. John's Roman Catholic Church for over 60 years. She worked for the Stamford Board of Education.
Maria is survived by her children Angelina Lucherini of Stamford, Enrico Imbrogno, Jr. and his wife Dawn of Stamford, Rita Cormier and her husband Alain, of Stamford and Mario Imbrogno and his wife Denise of Norwalk, his grandchildren, Richard Lucherini Jr., Samantha Lucherini, Gabrielle Cormier, Carly Imbrogno, Nicolas Cormier, Sabrina Imbrogno, Cole Imbrogno and Sofia Imbrogno. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Enrico, her siblings Gabriel Docimo, Francesco Docimo, Teresa Bria, Rocco Docimo and Rosina Marsico.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at The Basilica of St. John’s the Evangelist RC Church, 279 Atlantic Street, Stamford, CT at 10:00AM. Entombment will follow at St. Mary’s RC Cemetery Mausoleum, North Street, Greenwich, CT. There will be no calling hours. The family will receive condolences after service. The Nicholas F.
