Maria Terentino

Maria Grazia, affectionately known as Graziella, Terentino, 88, of Stamford passed away on August 28, 2010. Born January 17, 1922 in Santa Maria Infante, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Leonardo and Teresa Mallozzi Poccia.
Graziella was an employee of Clairol in the production department for many years. She was a member of the Minturnese Club.
Graziella is survived by her sons, Anthony Terentino and his wife Jackie of Norwalk, Alex Terentino of South Carolina, Vincent Terentino and his wife Lillian of Bridgeport and Mario Terentino and his wife Billie Jo of Stamford; her six grandchildren, Kendra M. and Anthony Terentino, Jr. of Tampa, FL, Philip L. Terentino of Norwalk, Denise and Alex Terentino, Jr. of Charleston, SC and Nicholas Terentino of Stamford; and two great grandsons, Gabriel of SC and Philip of Norwalk.
In addition to her parents, Graziella was predeceased by her husband, Philip Terentino and her brother, Fillipo Poccia.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 10:30AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00AM at St. Mary RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford, CT 06902. Interment will follow at St. John’s RC Mausoleum. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 from 4:00-8:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Maria’s name to the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Care, 1266 East Main Street, Stamford, CT 06902.
