Maria A. Vitti

Maria A. Vitti, 80, died on Thursday March 23, 2006 at Stamford Hospital. She was born in Settefrati, Italy on June 13, 1925 to the late Michael and Romana Buzzeo.
She worked at Clairol in Stamford for over twenty five years in production. She was a member of the Settefrati club and an active parishioner of St. Marys Church. Maria enjoyed playing bocce, and was known to all as Grandma Vitti.
She is survived by her son, Anthony Vitti and his wife Carol of Stamford; two grandsons, Michael Vitti of Stamford; and Christopher Vitti and his wife Maria of Norwalk; and a great grandson Christopher.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Luigi Vitti; four brothers, Joseph, Jerry, Patsey, and Giatano Buzzeo; and a sister, Antonia Buzzeo.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Monday March 27, 2006 at 9:20 AM, and proceed to St. Marys RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM.
