Mariantonia Megale

Mariantonia Megale, 79, of Stamford passed away peacefully on Monday January, 27, 2014 at Stamford Hospital with her loving family by her side. Mariantonia was born in Arena, Italy on April 20, 1934 to the late Vincenzo and Olimpia Rosa Iorfino Greco.
Mariantonia is survived by her loving husband, Pasquale Megale, of Stamford, her daughter Grace Fratello and her husband Michael of Greenwich, her three sons, Frank P. Megale, of Stamford, Vincent Megale and his wife Cindy, of Stamford and Joseph Megale and his wife Loren of Trumbull, as well as her sister Girolama Maria Rossi and her husband Luciano, of Italy, and her three brothers, Francesco Greco and his wife Rachela, of Italy, Domenico Greco, of Stamford, and Michael Greco and his wife Michelina of Darien. She was a loving grandmother to Steven, Jessica, Michael , Gabrielle, Katelyn and Joseph Jr.
Besides her parents, Mariantonia is predeceased by her brother Joseph Greco.
A funeral procession will leave the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT on Friday January 31, 2014 at 10:30AM and proceed to St. Mary’s RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford, CT for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday January 30, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
