Marilyn Rello

Marilyn Ann Rello, 83, of Trumbull, passed away on March 28, 2017 at Bishop Wicke Health and Rehabilitation Center in Shelton with her family by her side. She was born on May 10, 1933 in The Bronx, NY to the late Arthur and Helen Deering-Eltinge.
Marilyn graduated from Walton High School in The Bronx and was a resident of Stamford for over 65 years. She was employed at Slavin’s Pharmacy in Stamford as the office manager for over 20 years. She loved Broadway shows, reading, and crossword puzzles; but most of all, her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Diane Marie Rello; Philip J. Rello and his wife Christine, and their children Kacy and Dominick; Mary Lou Barrese and her husband Paul, and their children Emma and Troy; Kim Vartuli and her husband Michael, and their children Michael Jr., Zachary, and Gabriella. She is also survived by her nephews Gary, Scott, and Dale Elbert.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband Dominick Rello in 1982, and her sister Jean Elbert.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave. in Stamford, CT on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 4-8PM with a service to be held at 7:45PM with Father Peter J. Smolik officiating. Interment will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 1:00PM at St. John RC Cemetery, Darien.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Marilyn’s memory to Bishop Wicke Health and Rehabilitation Center, 584 Long Hill Avenue, Shelton, CT 06484.
