Marion M .Grande, 78, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 10, 2006. Born in Stamford on April 8, 1927, the daughter of the late Nicholas Masi and Lucy Romanielli Masi.
Mrs. Grande graduated from Stamford High School in 1945 and then graduated from Katherine Gibbs School of Business in Norwalk in 1947. She worked for Royal Typewriter of Stamford in the 60s and 70s and then at Hanson & Orth Importers & Exporters of Darien, retiring in 1983.
Mrs. Grande is survived by her husband, Mathew J. Grande of Stamford; one daughter Phyllis Ann Lupinacci and her husband, Gene of Danbury; one son, Thomas Grande and his wife, Michele of Redding; one sister, Angelina Cassone of Port Chester, NY and six grandchildren; Nicholas Lupinacci and his wife Jeanette and their children, Nicholas and Jan-Erik of Brookfield; Alison Lupinacci of Danbury, Dana, Christopher, Marissa and Jonathan Grande of Redding.
Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by her son, Nicholas Grande and her brother, William Masi.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Friday, May 12, 2006 at 9:15AM and proceed to St. Bridget of Ireland RC Church, 278 Strawberry Hill Avenue, Stamford, CT 06905, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM with the Reverend Gill Babeu officiating. Interment will follow at St. John RC Cemetery in Darien. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, May 11, 2006 between the hours of 4 8 PM.
