Mary C. Debattista

Mary C. DeBattista, 83, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2008 at Smith House in Stamford. Born February 17, 1925 in Malta, she was the daughter of the late George and Annunziata Spiteri Savona.
Mary was an employee for Pitney Bowes until her retirement. She enjoyed sewing and traveling and was a volunteer for the homeless.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph DeBattista; a son, Charlie DeBattista and his wife Lauren; a sister, Carman Farrugia all of Stamford. Four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Dolores Borg.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Wednesday, October 29 from 5:00 7:00 PM with a prayer service being held at 6:30 PM. Interment will be private.
