Mary Ottaviano Fusci, 93, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday January 29, 2018. Mary was born in Greenwich, CT to the late Edward and Margaret Murphy Brennan.

Mary was by Joe’s side when he opened Waterside Variety Store on Greenwich Ave, Stamford in 1949. They made many lifelong friends through the business. After Joe’s passing in 1969 Mary had to make the hard decision to close the store and begin her new career. Mary was a proud employee of Pitney Bowes retiring after 20 years. She worked as an administrative adjuster for many major accounts. She was a member of PB’s exclusive oval club. Mary was a long and dedicated parishioner at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church. As a member of the Women’s Guild she could be found working tirelessly at the Church fairs and events. When Mary made the move to Norwalk she had one prerequisite “a church had to be within walking distance”. During much of Mary’s retirement she traveled or volunteered. Her most rewarding volunteer time was spent working at the beauty salon at Nathaniel Witherell nursing center in Greenwich.

Mary is survived by her son Jay Fusci and his wife Joanne Faugno of Norwalk; daughter Midge Fusci of Southington, CT; and daughter Christine Gennaria and her husband Thomas of Clermont, FL; and son Fred Fusci and wife Norma of Norwalk. Her grandchildren Kevin and Sean Murphy, Andrew, David, and Daniel Faugno-Fusci, Jennifer and Kimberly Fusci and KC and Michael Gennaria also survive her. Mary is also survived by her 5 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Joe and her son Alexander she was predeceased by her parents, husband Nicholas Ottaviano and her brother Edward Brennan.
