Mary Mennona
November 30, 1919 — April 26, 2013
Mary Mennona, 93, of Brookfield, CT passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, April 26, 2013. She was born on September 30, 1919 in Greenwich, CT to the late Jerome and Rose Cufone Cosentino.
Mrs. Mennona was a data entry clerk having retired from Superior Drug in Stamford. She was a former member of Saint Gabriel’s RC Parish, and also a former member of the Senior Center. Mrs. Mennona loved to read, crochet, and play cards. She loved her family more than anything else and devoted her life to them.
She is survived by her son Vincent Mennona (Mary Lou) of Hobe Sound, FL, two daughters, Linda Masten (Lee) of Naples, FL. and Bennington, VT, Mary Ann Hydinger (Ken) of Brookfield, CT, a sister Evelyn Davidson (Robert) of Goshen, CT, three brothers Val Cosentino ( Ursula) of Stamford, Dante Cosentino (Antonia) and Frank Cosentino (Nancy) all of Ramona, CA; Her grandsons Vincent Mennona (Lucy), Mark Mennona (Betsy), Matthew Mennona (Vicki), Lee Masten Jr.,(Lee-Anne), and Michael Hydinger. Her granddaughters Rena Leddy (Todd), Kristina Hansen (Will), and Kathryn Orie (Brennan), also surviving are her 11 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents Mary is predeceased by her beloved husband of 67 years Joseph Mennona. Her brother Albert and 3 sisters Louise, Licia, and Rose also predecease her.

Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 on Monday, April 29, 2013 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM, a funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 10:20AM and process to the St. Catherine of Sienna RC Church, 4 Riverside Ave., Riverside, CT 06878 where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at the St. Mary’s RC Cemetery, 35 Parsonage Rd, Greenwich, CT.
