Mary Moriarty

Mary Patricia Moriarty, 85, passed away peacefully at Stamford Hospital, on Thursday, June 17, 2010.
Born may 22, 1925, in Waterbury, CT, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Margaret Coffey Moriarty.
Mary worked for U.S Industrial Chemicals of New York, Dow Chemical U.S.A and the Dept. of Children and Families(DCF) for 10 years.
Mary is survived by her sister in law, Jean R. Moriarty of Stamford; nephews, John F. Moriarty, Jr. and his wife Adrienne of Norwalk, James J. Moriarty and his wife Cindy of Norwalk, Terence P. Moriarty and his wife Diane of Dover, MA. Also surviving is a niece, MaryEllen Carroll and her husband Kenneth of Malvern, PA, five grand nephews and three grand nieces also survive. Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by two brothers; John F. Moriarty, Sr. and William Moriarty.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 21, 2010 at 11:00 AM, at St. Mary’s RC Church, 566 Elm St., Stamford, CT. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Darien.
There will be no calling hours. The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT 06902 are handling the arrangements.
