Mary Ellen O'Grady

Mary Ellen OGrady, 87, a lifelong resident of Stamford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 27, 2008. Born on September 1, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Francis J. and Sarah Hambury OGrady.
Mary was an Administrative Assistant for Hartford Electric Light Company before her retirement and was also a former member of St. Johns RC Church in Stamford.
Mary is survived by a sister, Sally L. Smith of Stamford; a brother, Richard J. OGrady of Suffield, CT; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by three brothers, John (Jack) OGrady, Francis J. OGrady, Jr. and George W. OGrady.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady Star of the Sea, 1200 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, on Saturday, November 29 (TODAY) at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Johns Cemetery, Darien. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are being handled by the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford. www.cognetta.com
