Mary Ellen O'Keefe

Mary Ellen (Farrell) OKeefe, 61, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2006. She was born in Stamford, Connecticut on June 19, 1944, the daughter of Catherine Conners Farrell and the late James Frederick Farrell. She was the oldest of five children.
A resident of Norwalk for 38 years, Mary Ellen moved with her husband to Naples, Florida in 2004. In addition to her husband, John Kevin OKeefe, she is survived by her four children; Maureen Divers of Naples, Florida; Mary Margaret Aldrich of Norwalk, Connecticut; John Kevin OKeefe, Jr. of Norwood, Massachusetts; and Jeffrey P. OKeefe of Naples, Florida; three brothers and one sister, James Farrell, Rick Farrell, Jeffrey Farrell, and Janice Promis; five grandchildren, three nieces, seven nephews and many cousins.
Mary Ellen was an employee of Pitney Bowes in Stamford, CT for 20 years. She was an avid reader, loved to travel, and had a fondness for the beaches in Antigua, WI. Mary Ellen was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She will be sadly missed and remembered forever.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday March 24, 2006. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 9:50 am, and proceed to St. Marys Roman Catholic Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford, CT on Saturday March 25, 2006, where a Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Ellen will be celebrated at 10:30 am.
