Mary O’Toole, 76, of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, May 16, 2016 at Stamford Hospital. She was born in Port Chester, NY on October 14, 1939 to the late Charles J. and Bridget Haren Beagan.
Mary was a Registered Nurse, and loved her career as an OB/GYN nurse for eighteen years before retiring in 2005. She was a Greenwich Hospital Alumni, a member of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians (A.O.H). Mary was also a Eucharistic Minister at the Church of St. Cecilia for twenty years and also was a Child Birth Educator for six years.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Diane M. Conner and her husband Mark of Boston, MA, Sally A. Gerard and her husband William of Trumbull, CT, as well as five grandchildren Brian and Allison Conner of Boston, MA, Jack, Christian and Holly Gerard of Trumbull, CT. She is also survived by dear and loving family, Larry Hayes, Julie and Evan Dixon.
Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband of thirty years John J. O’Toole and a brother Charles P. Beagan.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 9:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 at St. Gabriel Church, 914 Newfield Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Stamford. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 PM.
