Mary Jane Paradis
February 18, 1939 — July 23, 2007
Mary Jane Paradis, 68, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 23rd surrounded by her family. Born February 18, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Katherine M. Fitzgibbons Daly.
Mary Jane graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing in Hartford, Connecticut in 1960 as a registered nurse. She worked at St. Francis then at St. Josephs Hospital in Stamford before spending over 25 years of her career at Courtland Gardens Residence where she was a dedicated and compassionate care giver to the elderly and terminally ill. She was a native of Stamford before moving to Norwalk and a long time member of St. Maurices Parish where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. Following her retirement she was a devoted grandmother caring for her four beloved granddaughters. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a selfless, giving, and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of forty-two years, John J. Paradis of Norwalk; a daughter, Katherine Nomack and her husband Stephen of Norwalk; a son, Kevin Paradis and his wife Robin of Wilton; and four beautiful granddaughters, Madison, Emily, Lauren and Alexandra; and her cousin, Maureen and her husband Robert Ballagh of Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 27, 2007 at St. Maurice RC Church, 358 Glenbrook Road, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. Johns Cemetery in Norwalk. There will be no calling hours.
