Mary S. Ryan
August 15, 1934 — March 13, 2007
Mary S. Ryan, 72 of Darien, passed away on Tuesday March 13, 2007 at Richard Rosenthal Hospice in Stamford.
Born in Brooklyn, NY August 15, 1934 she was the daughter of the late Patrick V. and Sally Cunliffe Sheridan.
Mrs. Ryan was a retired Registered Nurse having worked at St. Joseph Hospital in Stamford for 45 years. She was a graduate of the Hospital of St. Raphaels School of Nursing and also a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy of Stamford.
Mrs. Ryans family was her whole world and she was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother and sister, and was adored by her family.
Survivors include three daughters SallyAnne Ryan and her husband Jack Shea of Fairfield, Ellen Ryan of Fairfield and Melissa Ryan of Darien, a son Gerard Ryan of Brooklyn, NY, two sisters Ann Michalski of Norwalk and Patricia Cerreta of Darien. One Brother Vincent Sheridan and his wife Diane of Stamford. Two grandchildren Julianne and Johnny Shea of Fairfield also survive.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Gerard V. Ryan.
A Funeral Procession will leave the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory 104 Myrtle Ave. Stamford on Sat. March 17, 2007 at 9:15 AM and proceed to St. Thomas More RC Church 374 Middlesex Rd. Darien, CT for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. John RC Cemetery Darien.
Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Friday March 16, 2007 for 4-8 PM.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Villa Maria Education Center 161 Sky Meadow Dr. Stamford, CT 06903.
