Mary R. (Sadie) Piscitelli

Mary R. (Sadie) Piscitelli, 90, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2007 at Stamford Hospital. Born September 15, 1916 in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary DeCarlo Natale Sr.
Mary was a devoted wife and mother. She was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family, decorating her home, and cooking. Mary played softball, field hockey and basketball in her youth. In her senior years, Mary was a member of the National Senior Citizen Group, enjoyed playing golf and was an avid Yankee fan.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol L. Piscitelli of Stamford; a son, Robert A. Piscitelli of Orange County, CA; two sisters-in-law, Grace Godino of Stamford; and Esther Marlitz of Buena, NJ; two brothers-in-law, Thomas Dellipoali of Stamford; and William Moran of Bethel; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren;
ten nieces and nephews; sixteen great nieces and nephews; and eleven great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frank Piscitelli; two sisters, Grace Dellipoali; and Dorothy Moran; and two brothers, Thomas and Joseph Natale, Jr.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 from 4:00 8:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home on Thursday, April 19, 2007 and proceed to St. Mary RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery.
